The repeated failure of minimal frameworks suggests we need a fresh perspective. Instead of frameworks or rigid traditions, why not design lightweight, evolving guidelines that grow directly from community input and real-time needs? Flexibility could be the true innovation here.

Vera, the 2023 living guidelines experiment tried exactly that approach. They created evolving rules based on real-time feedback and community input. People abandoned the system within two months because constantly changing guidelines became more work than the original problems.
